On Tuesday, September 8th, the Women's Circle welcomes back our friend Dr. Mary Ellen Johnson, who will introduce us to the history of the labyrinth and its use as a
walking meditation and spiritual practice.

We'll gather at the church at 10:00 AM for her lecture, then carpool together to the Whidbey Institute, where we've arranged to walk their labyrinth as guests.

Afterward, we'll return to the church for refreshments and discussion.

Dr. Johnson has walked, built, and taught about labyrinths since first walking one in the summer of 1996.  Steeped in New Thought for over 36 years, she brings a fresh
perspective to our teachings, presenting the labyrinth as a spiritual practice.
She holds a Doctor of Ministry from the Wisdom School of Graduate Studies, and is a Certified Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator and Religious Science Practitioner. Known to travel miles out of her way to visit labyrinths around the world, she loves sharing how this practice can support spiritual growth — both solitary and in community.
